Hi I am Sarah. I have been practicing Osteopathy since graduating from Unitec in 2004 and specialising in Osteopathy in the Cranial Field (OCF) since 2007. I was always interested in health, but I did not learn of Osteopathy until my twenties and the more I learnt, the more I understood its philosophies and they made sense to me. I like how we never treat just a part; it is always with the whole in mind.
I used to work at Stillpoint Osteopaths about 10 years ago. Since then, I have travelled, continued my Post Graduate Education in OCF and practised Osteopathy part time while having 2 small children.
I chose to return because it is primarily a cranial practice and I wanted to work in an environment where continual learning is important, encouraged and facilitated. I also wanted to work with others who were passionate about their work. I am so excited to be re-joining and feel so privileged to be able to work with such an amazing team of highly skilled and dedicated professionals.
I enjoy working with people of all ages and love the diversity that Osteopathy brings, I enjoy working with both acute and chronic conditions and being part of a healthcare option that searches for and addresses the causes of symptoms rather than just the symptoms.
It is a joy to experience positive changes with people that makes lives better with increased mobility and reduced discomfort. Seeing people get better is rewarding.
Outside of work I am pretty busy with my little family. We have lots of fun playing on our little boat, falling off my paddleboard, hanging out at beaches, bushwalking, and exploring. I also love to cook and read in quieter moments.
