Mirimiri and Romiromi
Mirimiri and romiromi are traditional Māori healing practices that recognise the connection between our:
Tinana – physical body
Hinengaro – mind and emotions
Wairua – spiritual wellbeing
Whānau – family and relationships
Hauora – overall health and wellbeing
Dewi's practice draws on the Māori healing knowledge and skills she has learned, using Karakia, listening, touch, breath, Kōrero and connection to create space for the body and person as a whole
Every session is different and may include:
- Kōrero and time to connect
- Gentle or deeper touch through the body
- Working with the breath
- Supporting the release of physical tension
- Creating space for rest and relaxation
- supporting a greater sense of connection within the body
