COVID-19 CLINIC PROCEDURE

At Alert Level 2 COVID-19 is contained, but the risk of community transmission remains.  To minimise this risk, we are working in accordance with Osteopathic Council NZ to protect our patients, staff, and the community. This has resulted in several changes that impact you and the practice.

  1. You and any support person attending the clinic will be asked to complete a questionnaire screening for COVID-19 signs or symptoms when booking the appointment and again on arrival. An email with the relevant questions will be forwarded to you.
  2. If you develop symptoms between booking and attending the clinic you must call to cancel the in-clinic consultation and seek medical advice.
  3. Vulnerable high-risk patients will be contacted to discuss the risks and benefits of a face-to-face consultation.
  4. Hand sanitising on arrival and on departure from the clinic.
  5. We ask you keep the number of attendees to the clinic to a minimum.
  6. During your treatment you and your osteopath will wear a face mask.
  7. Forms will be completed by staff either on the phone before your appointment or within reception.
  8. Payment: No cash will be handled. PayWave or online banking will be available
  9. We have implemented additional infection prevention control measures including PPE.
  10. We will be staggering appointment times within the clinic to reduce patient cross over.
  11. Please bring your own: blanket, water bottles, magazines and toys for children, including toys to keep babies entertained whilst being treated.
  12. Please remember to cover any coughs or sneezes.
